Welcome to Laredo Stepping Stone

LaredoSteppingStone > And Jim and Caroline definately enjoyed the master bedroom!
Kim and Judah (Co-director of LSS and son) got kicked out of their room for a couple of days while their hall was being tiled and can personally vouch that it was comfy as well!

LaredoSteppingStone > Caroline also enjoyed the clothing donations from Pac Sun that resupplied their family with brand name clothes and shoes. A rare treat! Have fun cutting those tags, Caroline!
LaredoSteppingStone > In a twist of irony, the first missionary family who ever stayed with us here at LSS was the first family to ever stay in the duplex! The James family had that distiction.

LaredoSteppingStone > We decided to get these heavy duty iron and wood bunk beds for the kid's bedroom. We've put two in and as you'll notice on the bottom, they are full size futons. This way, they can sit them up to use as a couch during the day and then put them down and use them as a bed at night. As noted before, this also gives us the capacity to sleep 6 in here, 2 on the top two bunks and 2 on each futon. Great for our families with 6 - 8 kids!
LaredoSteppingStone > Should anyone feel impressed to help us in helping to complete these duplexes(there are still some small items needed, especially to stock the kitchen, a T.V. for the living room, DVD's/VCR tapes, 3 book cases, etc.) please contact us and we'll let you know what the needs are.
LaredoSteppingStone > While we appreciate donations of gently used items, we determined that everything we used in furnishing the duplex would be new and of good quality. Our missionaries usually come in very tired, not only in body but in spirit as well. We wanted to make sure that they were surrounded with the best and most comfortable we could afford. We also prayed over this duplex that those who stayed there would be surrounded with God's spirit of peace, comfort and healing. So far, it seems as if God is honoring that prayer!
LaredoSteppingStone > Master Bedroom. Before this, we had to put our families in our missionary rooms, which are nice, but only sleep 4 at the most with the hide-a-bed, so for families with more than 2 kids they either had to sleep in a dorm room all together or be split up. It's nice to now be able to give the parents their own room and some privacy, but with the kids right next door and all in the same place.
And Jim and Caroline definately enjoyed the master bedroom!
